Ulthera┬« – Ultherapy is a non-invasive, effective utilizing intense focused ultrasound. It is the same ultrasound technology that has been safely used for over 50 years for medical imaging. Skin laxity which is a normal result of aging and gravity is a very common complaint. There isn’t a replacement for the dramatic effects of surgery but Ulthera offers a ‘no downtime’ approach to noticeably improving lax skin and it has been called ‘the lunchtime facelift’. Without harming the outer layer of the skin, Ulthera penetrates deeply below the surface firming, lifting and tightening the skin.

How does it work?

Intense focused ultrasound penetrates deeply within the facial tissues producing energy and heat at a precise depth. Ulthera enables the sound waves to be directed not only into the skin but deep under the skin to the same tissues that are addressed during a surgical face lift. Gentle heat to the tissue typically lifts and tightens loose skin without cutting or disrupting the surface of the skin. Besides the effects of lifting and tightening, there is also an invisible result from Ulthera of the creation of new collagen, which helps the skin maintain its youthfulness.

Can Ulthera be used on all areas?

Ulthera can be used anywhere on the face and neck, decollete, and other areas of the body. A full treatment on the face is very effective and treatments to specific areas such as to lift the brow can produce great results. One of the first effects of gravity is that the brows descend, and the eyes start to appear smaller. Ulthera can lift the brow, which in turn reduces the excess skin on the lids, opens up the eyes and gives a more refreshed appearance.
