Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) has been used to facilitate wound healing and also plays an important role in plastic surgery, dentistry, and to aid in the healing of sports and other orthopedic injuries. In recent years, PRP has been used in treating hair loss and also has come to be recognized to improve skin quality.

PRP is also used for stimulating hair growth in men and women suffering from pattern baldness since PRP contains growth factors that stimulate the development of new hair follicles and improve the health of existing ones.

PRP for rejuvenation

PRP has been used in facial rejuvenation around the world since 2006. Areas of treatment include cheeks and mid face, wrinkling around the eyes, smile lines, neck and jaw line, décolleté, acne scarring, hands, scalp and more.

PRP also can effectively improve outcomes when used in combination with other treatments such as fillers, micro-needling and CO2 fractional laser treatments.

Treatments

We use the Harvest SmartPrep processing system which produces the highest concentration of platelets. Generally 3-4 treatments with maintenance treatments annually or semi-annually to prolong and maintain results. PRP treatments are safe, natural and usually very well tolerated.

Combination Treatments

‘Vampire Facelift’- a treatment that combines PRP with hyaluronic acid dermal filler.

CO2 fractional laser and PRP – The results can be synergistic and provide improved outcomes and faster recovery times.

Microneedling and PRP – The results can be synergistic and provide improved outcomes and faster recovery times.
