Fat can either be subcutaneous (under the skin) or visceral (internal abdominal). You can ‘pinch’ subcutaneous fat and many people have often used the term ‘love handles’ or ‘muffin top’ which are examples of subcutaneous fat. We only treat subcutaneous fat.
Men and women, even close to their ideal body weight can have a specific area of fat that is resistant to diet and exercise. These areas may include localized fat on the upper arms, under the chin (double chin), on the abdomen, on areas of the back and buttocks, inner and outer thighs (‘saddlebags’) and love handles.
Many women are frustrated by fat that accumulates on the abdomen above surgical scars from a Caesarean section or hysterectomy. and men can be faced with a condition known as Gynecomastia. Both are treatable at The Rosenthal Clinic.
During your consultation, we can assess your individual concern and determine the best treatment plan for you.
